Course 736 (2009)

Marketing Principles                                                 Instructor: Mr. Jeff DiBattisto

 

Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive study of the basic principles of marketing. We will introduce key concepts that affect marketing to the business world as well as the consumer. We will use practical applications through the use of the textbook, as well as various other visual aids. The student will be well versed in the concepts of designing a marketing strategy/plan. They will see marketing from the perspective of both the consumer as well as the company.

 

Course Requirements

Methods of instruction will include lecture, discussion, guest speakers, and group work. Daily work will include quizzes, notes, discussion, and written assignments. Tests will be announced at least 3 school days before they are given. Other assignments will develop as the year progresses.

 

Required Book

                Principles of Marketing……(Kotler, Armsrong, 11th edition, 2006)

 

Grading

Final grade will be determined  by a combination of tests, quizzes, class participation, and other alternative forms of evaluation.

 

Office Hours

For questions or help, I will be available on an appointment basis. I ask that you request a meeting time one day prior to the desired meeting time.

Personal Finance                                                                    Instructor: Mr. Jeff DiBattisto

 

Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive study of the basics of personal finance. We will introduce key terms and applications that will assist the student in future practical, personal financial matters. We will use practical applications through the use of the textbook, as well as various other visual aids. They will see finance from both the perspective of the business world, as well as their own.
